The Muppet Returns
A source close to The Arizona Watchtower has informed us that Jim “The Muppet” Pederson is considering challenging Congressman Rick Renzi to his CD1 seat in 2008. You all might remember Jimmy boy as the lovable puppet of Howard Dean who challenged Senator Kyl in last years midterms. He lost…he lost bad. Of every Republican Senator who faced a tough re-election, Pederson was the only Democrat who did not unseat the incumbent. That must have been embarrassing.
Does Jimbo really think he stands a chance? He drained millions into his Senate campaign, only to have Republicans (of course), most independents, as quite a few Democrats snuff him.
If he is actually dumb enough to run, he will once again be destroyed. He will be viewed as the old has-bin who wants to be a politician so badly that he starts running for something every-single-election. He should consider a run for a Casa Grande PC.

“Of every Republican Senator who faced a tough re-election.” The only reason John Kyl faced a tough re-election was because of Jim Pederson. It sounds like some people are getting scared of the possibility of Jim running again. Unlike the senate race, he will be the favorite to win the next time. It’s no longer a cake walk.
